Progress on the project

The entire network has been tagged.

Notes:

  • the system used on the FER network is considered SCMT
  • the system used on the Trento - Malé - Marilleva line is considered SCMT
  • in Valle d'Aosta region there is no SCMT at all
  • as of 2023 the absence of SCMT does not imply absence of train protection, since a few minor lines still have the simpler SSC system

Rendering carto

In openrailwaymap the SCMT signalling appears on violet in legend and map since September 2022[1][2].

ETCS (blue) and ETCS in construction (light blue) have priority over SCMT for rendering.

In order to have lines rendered in black (no train protection) both SCMT an ETCS tags must be set to "no" and no other tag is necessary (e.g. no lzb or atb).
