Samtrafiken is the company in Sweden responsible for national ticketing and timetable data. The rikshållplats reference is used to identify stop areas in Sweden and neighboring countries. It is similar to the UIC reference tag for railway stations. There may be multiple stop areas with the same rikshållplats reference this is because the regional and national stop areas may be joined differently.
The rikshållplats reference always consists of 9 digits, beginning with a 2-digit UIC country code. This means it's quite easily confused with both the UIC reference uic_ref=* and DB IBNR/EVA ref:ibnr=*.
