Specifies a part of number plates which depends on the area where the vehicle was registered.
Note that OSM uses British English so the currently more popular license_plate_code=* shouldn't be used.
Usage
The tag should be used on boundary=* relations or whatever that represents an area or a place which has a specific area code for number plates.
If specific vehicles such as motorcycles or police cars have their own area code, tags such as vehicle_plate_code:motorcycle=* and vehicle_plate_code:police=* should be used as well.
