OSM Advanced navigation features

We discuss possible navigation features, tagging and automatization software for OSM data

ADAS

(Advanced Driver Assistance Systems ) allows:

+ Driving without driver (partially realized)

+ Significantly reduction of traffic jam (in work, partially realized)

+ Significantly reduction of car accidents (realized, more reduction potential with OSM data)

+ Reduction of fuel consumption (realized, , more reduction potential with OSM data)

+ Reduction of insurance costs for the driver. (realized)

ADAS need following map data:

  1. Lanes (collection in OSM manually)
  2. Street as area (collection in OSM manually)
  3. Radius of street curves (automatization from OSM possible)
  4. Slope (based on 3D Terrain model add to OSM data: Automatization + additional tagging if neccesary)
  5. Warning signs (collection in OSM manually)
