Let's put together a high-level roadmap of where Historical OSM might go.

It's not intended to be a set of hard targets, but a loose roadmap of where we're headed.

Short Term

2013 Targeted Progress

  • Jan - have openhistoricalmap.org up and running, full stack - web (Rails), database (Rails), tiles (mod_tile?), geocoder
  • Feb - have several interesting areas on the world populated
  • Mar - inventory key software mods needed, document starting practices for source, time tagging; initial rendering plan
  • Apr - get some sustaining funding grant proposals submitted
  • May - start testing some time enabled tools
