The goal of this page is to collect ressources, maps and datas that can be used to map the city throughout the ages.
Some questions/ideas:
- maybe use some kind of unique id. for example "1 Fi 244@archives.rennes.fr"
- how to name a map?
- which year to choose to sort it? (if it is showing a project, if it is an historic map made centuries after, maps with anachronistic elements, or superimposing maps from different ages, if it has been partially edited, ...)
- should the title be translated on the wiki page?
- splitting maps in 4 categories: - department level and above - city center/city/periphery level - city blocks/street level - maps which don't contain any new/accurate enough informations, and are probably best to avoid
