Goal

Lab4U is an online laboratory: a patient orders and pays on the website, then visits a partner medical centre to have the sample taken. The analysis itself happens in the Lab4U laboratory in Moscow.

Those sample collection locations are currently not findable on OSM-based maps. A patient who is told "go to this address" cannot locate the place in an OSM-based navigation app. The goal of this activity is to make each location findable by address.

What is mapped, and what is deliberately not

For each sample collection location we add a separate node tagged:

• healthcare=sample_collection
• name=Lab4U
• alt_name=Онлайн-лаборатория Lab4U
• operator=Lab4U
• phone, website, description, check_date

The tag documentation explicitly allows a sample collection point inside a clinic "if there is a dedicated location for that". That is the case here: the sample is taken in a dedicated procedure room.

We never touch the partner clinic object. Most of these locations are independent medical centres that are not part of Lab4U — they host the sample collection. We do not rename them, do not add brand or operator=Lab4U to them, and do not delete them. Our node is a separate feature, per "one feature, one OSM element".

We also do not add brand=Lab4U to our own node: the brand of the venue belongs to the clinic; operator is the correct key for our relationship to the place.

Data sources and licence

Addresses: Lab4U's own internal list of partner addresses, maintained by Lab4U staff. First-party data, no third-party licence attached.

Coordinates: obtained by locating each address in OSM itself (Nominatim search plus visual confirmation in the editor against imagery permitted for OSM — Bing, Esri, Maxar).

Explicitly excluded: Lab4U's internal database also contains coordinates that were originally taken from Yandex Maps or Google Maps. Those coordinates are not used in this activity in any way — not as input, and not as a cross-check for node placement. Using them, even to nudge a node, would make the result derived from an incompatible source. We mention this openly because it is the most common licence problem with this kind of activity, and we would rather state how we handled it than be asked.

Imagery from Yandex and Google is likewise not used.

Method

Manual editing in the iD editor, node by node, by a person. This is not an import: no file is uploaded and no automated edit is performed. Changesets are kept small (3–4 nodes) so that any feedback applies to a reviewable amount of work.

Every changeset comment carries the hashtag #Lab4U_collection_points and names the city.

Pilot and rollout

The activity starts with a pilot of 14 locations in Rostov-on-Don. Two weeks after the pilot we review: whether nodes were reverted, and whether the community raised objections. Only then do we consider the next city. Locations elsewhere in Russia number in the hundreds, but nothing is added beyond the pilot until the pilot has been reviewed.

Feedback

Comments on changesets and messages to the account will be read and answered. If the community considers any part of this wrong, we will change it or revert our own edits — we would rather adjust the approach than argue.

If a node of ours is reverted by someone, we will not restore it. We will ask why first.

Зачем

Lab4U — онлайн-лаборатория: пациент заказывает и платит на сайте, а биоматериал сдает в партнерском медцентре. Сами исследования делаются в лаборатории Lab4U в Москве.

Этих пунктов приема на картах OSM сейчас нет. Пациент, которому назвали адрес, не может найти место в навигаторе, работающем на данных OSM. Цель активности — чтобы точку находили по адресу.

Что наносим и чего не делаем

На каждый пункт — отдельный узел с тегами healthcare=sample_collection, name=Lab4U, alt_name=Онлайн-лаборатория Lab4U, operator=Lab4U, телефон, сайт, описание.

Документация тега прямо разрешает наносить пункт забора внутри клиники, если под него есть выделенное место. Оно есть — процедурный кабинет.

Объект партнерской клиники мы не трогаем. Большинство этих мест — самостоятельные медцентры, не входящие в Lab4U: они принимают биоматериал, но Lab4U не являются. Мы их не переименовываем, не ставим на них свои теги и не удаляем. Наш узел — отдельная сущность.

Источники и лицензия

Адреса — собственный список Lab4U, который ведут сотрудники компании. Первичные данные, чужих лицензий на них нет.

Координаты получены поиском адреса в самом OSM с проверкой по снимкам, разрешенным для OSM.

Отдельно оговариваем: во внутренней базе Lab4U есть координаты, взятые в свое время из Яндекс.Карт или Google. В этой активности они не используются никак — ни как исходные данные, ни как сверка при постановке узла. Сдвинуть узел по ним значило бы сделать результат производным от несовместимого источника. Пишем об этом прямо, потому что это самая частая лицензионная проблема в подобных активностях, и лучше сразу объяснить, как она решена.

Снимки Яндекса и Google также не используются.

Как наносим

Руками, в редакторе iD, по одному узлу. Это не импорт: файлы не заливаются, автоматических правок нет. Наборы правок маленькие, по 3-4 узла.

Пилот

Начинаем с 14 точек в Ростове-на-Дону. Через две недели смотрим, были ли откаты и замечания. Дальше — только по итогам. Точек по стране сотни, но за пределы пилота не выходим, пока пилот не разобран.

Обратная связь

Комментарии к правкам и сообщения аккаунту читаем и отвечаем. Если сообщество сочтет что-то неверным — исправим или откатим сами. Если наш узел откатит кто-то другой, восстанавливать не будем: сначала спросим почему.
