Proposal
Culverts are currently tagged as tunnel=culvert
, but there is no tag to describe the type of culvert.
This proposal suggests a new tag, culvert=*
which can be added to tunnel=culvert
to describe its type.
Tagging
culvert=*
requires tunnel=culvert
.
Tag | Description | Example | Usage |
---|---|---|---|
culvert=arch
|
A half pipe (semicircle) | ![]() |
|
culvert=pipe
|
A fully circular pipe. This is the default value, there is no point using this tag | ![]() |
|
culvert=box
|
A rectangular shaped culvert | ![]() |
|
culvert=open_top
|
A culvert where the top is open, although this opening is small enough for tyres and feet to cross it. | ![]() |
|
culvert=inverted_siphon
|
An inverted siphon (also spelt syphon) is a U-shaped tunnel, often used to cross another waterway | ![]() |
