in Germany collar would be more appropriate, BUT we also have "Vorgrüen" - pre green or sometimes called approach (to the green). THis is 4-5 mowers wide in front of the green and mown as (high & regular) as the collar (and tee boxes). Christian Legeland (talk) 17:44, 9 July 2024 (UTC)

I agree, we also have some slang etc from our greenkeepers in Sweden.

I think we need an english greenkeeper/ R&A becuase OSM usally follows English naming as is tradition.

I will try to find more sources and contact USGA and R&A for the most common term in english. HuggeK (talk) 07:59, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
