The key gtfs:feed=* is used in public transportation tagging in situations where the GTFS data source (feed) is not provided by the operator=* nor the network=* and therefore operator:guid=* and network:guid=* are inappropriate.
PTNA needs it to find the corresponding feed if gtfs:route_id=* is present on a a public transport relation type=route_master or if one of gtfs:route_id=*, gtfs:shape_id=*, gtfs:trip_id:sample=* or gtfs:trip_id=* is present on a public transport relation type=route. Order of evaluation: gtfs:feed=*, operator:guid=*, network:guid=* if one of them is not set.
Value Syntax
The Syntax is the same as operator:guid=* and network:guid=* and follows the ISO_3166-1_alpha-2 codes, with some exceptions.
Example
- gtfs:feed=DE-SPNV - the feed is from the German Railway organization
Deutsche Bahn AG covering Germany, see GTFS data on PTNA.
- gtfs:feed=DE-BY-MVV - the feed is from
Munich Transport and Tariff Association (MVV) network in the German state Bavaria, see MVV GTFS data on PTNA.
- gtfs:feed=DE-BW-SBG (example) - the feed is from
Südbadenbus GmbH (SBG), an operator in the German state Baden-Württemberg, see SBG GTFS data on PTNA.
Visualization
- PTNA represents gtfs:feed=* on its pages about GTFS trips and in the network analysis (overview) under the tags summary.
