• Another possibility (without disagreeing with this proposal) is to use sports=minature_golf tag instead. sports=model_aerodrome is currently being proposed. MikeCollinson 16:42, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
  • I favour the leisure tagging while we are marking a physical feature. The sports=minature_golf tag could otherwise be used to specify that miniature golf is practiced in a structure already tagged for a more general use, like for example a fun park.
• I like the windmill idea, and I think that leisure is the right place for this. Do we want to cover mapping the individual holes as well as the entire mini-golf park (or whatever they're called)? --Hawke 08:20, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

• Re: mapping holes - I would suggest that something separate be used for that purpose, since it could cover 'standard' golf courses as well. Perhaps a golf=* tag? ("golf=hole", "golf=tee", etc.) --Cohort 13:47, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Miniature golf is something completely different in different countries. E.g. a German standard 18 hole miniature golf parcours is surely sports=miniature_golf while in fun parks in Canada the parcours are very individual, so I would recommend leisure=miniature_golf. Oh no, please do not use both! That's too confusing. Of course it can be both but I think we can discuss this till we are dead ;) And before this discussion never ends I think it's better to use the tag that is proposed.
