Status: approved

Small statues of children in school clothing placed along roads adjacent to school entrances. The idea is to increase safety of school children from cars (see this Daily Mail story for a rather lurid interpretation).

They seem to be a recent innovation in the UK, but are quite common.

How to map

Place a node node at the location of each school sentry.

Tags to use in combination

It is not necessary to use any other tags as the relevant school which they are 'guarding' will be apparent from their location. However, this is one of a group of objects which are likely to be mapped in concert when micromapping school sites.
