A hydraulic ram is a very particular cyclic pumping system powered by hydraulic power. It involves a balloon to use the water hammer force to output water at a higher pressure but a lower flowrate that it actually inputs.

It may be used in combination with man_made=water_well but not necessary on the same exact location which could allow to place two nodes for OSM, one for the well and another one for the ram with man_made=pump.

man_made=pump
pump_mechanism=ram

A hydraulic ram converts high flow kinetic energy into a pressure for a smaller flow, allowing it to be actually pumped. It requires no driver and external power supply so mechanical_driver=* isn't applicable here. This ram is beside an actual well head under the concrete plate behind it.
