This tag indicates that a route=worship follows depictions of the Stations of the Cross, a traditional Christian devotion also known as Via Crucis. The faithful are expected to visit and pray at each of the 14 stations along the route in order. (In some rare cases, there is a fifteenth station.)
This tag may also be used on each individual station, which may be as small as a plaque or as large as a chapel.
