Archiving

I'm not sure to understand if this page shows what Canvec does or did (like a copy of what is/was created with canvec, so just an information page), or if this page is used by canved to convert datas in osm format. But when I see, in the column osm tags, water=intermitent, waterway=riverbank;area=yes, water=tidal, it seems quite outdated (last change = 2012 !). My question : is this page necessary, usefull, should it be updated or on the contrary archived or maybe deleted ? Fred73000 (talk) 15:57, 10 February 2022 (UTC)

== This describes the Hydrography component of the Canvec Product. The product is still available for download and import but haven't changed since 2012. So when someone wants to import the data, it describes the tagging scheme of the .osm dat found in provided .zip files (so they can find what need to be changed even before downloading/importing the data). As far as I know, NRCan wont update the .osm files so the described tagging scheme won't change.--Jfd553 (talk) 14:44, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
