Talk:Help Documentation

I propose we we reorganise this help information. Here's what I'm thinking:

We have page called "Editing" which gives some nice documentation on editing. This is a kind of sub-page of the help documentation. Let's create a similar sub-page called [[Browsing]]

The section of this Help Documentation called 'Editing Standards and Conventions', should be moved onto the Editing page, since it relates to editing. Or maybe even a page called [[Editing Standards and Conventions]] linked off the Editing page.

At the top we could link to the About for an introduction.

This leaves us with a fairly small help page here, linking to key sub-sections. Does that sound good? or were people intending to build a single-page big document here? The fact that the page was named 'Help Documentation' rather than just 'Help' makes me wonder about this. Was there a plan to migrate the help documentation off the wiki into some other formats, or any other plans I dont know about?

Harry, I contributed quite a lot of material to this page. I didn't have a plan. I was just documenting some of the questions I asked myself when I first started using OSM. If you have a plan, great, go ahead! 80n 13:21, 22 Feb 2006 (UTC)
OK cool. I'll try to reorganise it as described then. ...some time soon. -- Harry Wood 14:25, 22 Feb 2006 (UTC)
