Malformed keys

Best practice for osm keys is to replace spaces with a single underscore character, for whatever reason the tagging here uses dashes instead (see stone-age etc).

Further Umayyad violates the practice that OSM keys are lower case.

Good catch, unfortunately there are already 5000+ such tags in use, maybe someone wants to pick it up and make a proposal for automatic retagging or for a start have a look if there is opposition? —Dieterdreist (talk) 22:49, 18 January 2023 (UTC)

onRelation

[1] @Dieterdreist: Please list all relation types on which this tag can be used in combination. I looked through the list of all relations and found no mention of this tag. These relations are also not mentioned in the article. Documentation on the Wiki should be consistent. maro21 20:50, 28 February 2024 (UTC)

It can be used on any relation, it is not a question of the relation type, it is a question whether a civilization information is available and applicable. These are the relation types it is currently used on:
  • boundary (12)
  • building (9)
  • collection (3)
  • site (68)
  • route (165)
  • waterway (2)
  • superroute (2)
