Talk:Key:kiss ride
On the name of the 'key'
While expressions like 'kiss_ride', 'kiss and ride', or 'kiss & ride' might be highly familiar to people in English-speaking countries where English is an everyday language, they are very difficult to associate with their actual meaning for people from other language groups.
I believe it would be much better for OSM and the OSM Wiki to use relatively formal or standardized expressions.
We should learn from the case of the key name 'highway'—which means 'road' in OSM—looking at how it is perceived in many regions and the kind of confusion that arises from it.
To my knowledge, a more standardized expression for 'kiss and ride' would be 'drop off' or 'pick up', which I think is more appropriate.
I would love to hear the opinions of non-English speaking users and those from regions where English is not the everyday language. --깨몽/dreamy (talk) 12:04, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
