Sheela-na-gig

It is good to see an effort to have sheelas tagged, but I think this should go under sculpture_subject or artwork_subject rather than here, because it is not a type of sculpture like the other ones. The ones I have seen were relief or bas-relief, so i think it should be moved there.B-unicycling (talk) 17:41, 27 January 2021 (UTC)

sculpture_type vs artwork_type

Why is the page called "sculpture_type" and then the table is for "artwork_type"? That seems misleading to me. B-unicycling (talk) 18:07, 2 November 2022 (UTC)

Only a typo. The table entires use sculpture_type=*.

The bigger problem is why it is "de facto", when it is acknowledged as "low usage". There are 88 sculpture=* instances. Very comparable.

The values in the table on the page are not taken from sculpture_type (taginfo), but from artwork_type=*, though. I'll give four of the example actually in use and the ones that are claimed to be in use by the table (only one overlap with bas_relief):
