proposal really necessary?

This is already documented on man_made=*, hence probably on Map features. Is it really necessary to go through a voting process? If it's not rendered, I suggest filing tickets with your rendering suggestion in trac. Robx 17:20, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

I'd say a proposal is necessary, and what's more this shouldn't have been put on Key:man_made & Map Features without more discussion. - Harry Wood 10:25, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

Generalise to "storage tank"

"gasometer" is very specific. For a top-level tag I would prefer to think in more general terms of "storage tanks". In fact, someone has already proposed this: Proposed features/storage tank. So for tagging a gasometer I prefer man_made=storage_tank and then perhaps storage_tank=gasometer (or just 'gas') -- Harry Wood 10:34, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

Gasometers are something quite different from other forms of storage. Kevin Steinhardt 10:14, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
