Mention how to tag the

• office of the school
• often massive driving range (looks like giant parking lot with curves from air photos) of some schools, or
• maybe just their parking lot, as they use the city streets for practice

From a current tag usage of 18628, 14681 are used on a node, 3875 on a way. 2312 are used in conjunction with building=*, this is probably the majority of the ways.

I conclude that most mappers mean the indoor facilities of a driving school.

For the outdoor facility, I see that as a tagging problem, which needs to be discussed, e.g. in this proposal. --Polarbear w (talk) 19:28, 1 April 2020 (UTC)

Adding opening hours for theory lessons

Driving schools typical have fluent theory lessons at fixed times, it can be quite handy to know these in advance - how should I add them? Something like opening_hours:lessons maybe? - Xerus (talk) 13:40, 7 May 2020 (UTC)
