Hi Mateusz, I appreciate your effort to clean up these values. But does it help to create a new wiki page for them, in this case more an typo value that is uses 81x ? And if creating a wiki page, shouldn't it have a deprecation template on them? --Polarbear w (talk) 15:06, 15 January 2020 (UTC)

"deprecation template" - there is |status=deprecated and are described as a bad idea. Is there anything missing? Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 15:28, 15 January 2020 (UTC)
"does it help to create a new wiki page for them" - I am pretty sure that it is not harmful, and in this case someone reported to be confused by missing documentation for a similar case. Given that most of confused people are silent and that documenting was fairly easy I decided to create this page. Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 15:28, 15 January 2020 (UTC)

The ValueDescription could be replaced with the template {{Deprecated|oldkey=building|oldvalue=misspelled |newtext={{Tag|building|yes}}}} ?
The existence of a wiki page is evaluated e.g. in taginfo, which thereby tells me quickly if something is documented or not. Thus personally I'd create a documentation of an undesired value only if there is significant usage. --Polarbear w (talk) 21:14, 15 January 2020 (UTC)

The tag has disappeared over the last weeks. From those I have checked, they were only typos from people whose caps lock was stuck when relying on josm/potlatch auto-complete. There was no intentional tagging, as nearby houses were tagged correctly by the same mappers. I propose that you set the page for deletion. --Polarbear w (talk) 20:39, 31 January 2020 (UTC)
Why? Maybe creating it was not the best use of my time, but everything on it is still true. And such tags reappear anyway. I see no reason to delete and recreate pages from Category:Tag descriptions with status "deprecated" depending on the current usage count Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 11:03, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
