Difference to danger_area?

What is the difference to military=danger_area? If there is no significant difference we should only use danger_area

danger_area is where military personnel shooting or bombing, thus it is dangerous there. military=ammunition is where ammunition (e.g. clothes, canned food, engineering tools, firing rounds etc) is stored. There is no immediate danger in such areas, apart from soldiers who would arrest you for trespassing.--Keder (talk) 19:02, 1 February 2017 (UTC)

Current use only

Looking at various sites displayed on Overpass, it is apparent that this tag is still in use on a number of ex-military facilities eg
https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/7521553#map=16/52.6918/0.8585
https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/60681500
https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/151389891 (Interestingly, the wiki entry for that facility says it's where Italy previously stored some of it's nuclear weapons!)
I would think that this tag should only apply to current military storage sites?
Should that be specifically noted? --Fizzie41 (talk) 01:07, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
