Autocategorization and the Pt-br namespace
The auto-categorization code as it currently reads is

However, there is the question of whether users of this template would want things categorized into the main (English) namespace or the language-specific Brazilian Portuguese namespace (pt-br:). If you would prefer the latter, I would suggest the following revised code

Does it really matter the language of a list of cities? It would be the same list in any namespace. Besides as far as I know, only one Brazilian city have a project page in several namespaces (Portuguese/English), so there will not be many duplicates in the lists. --Skippern 13:11, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- If it is possible, the template should be updated to reflect the Brazilian-Portuguese translation of types; e.g., "Belém é um city de Brasil com latitude -1.4611 e longitude -48.4917" sounds really weird (should be "Belém é uma cidade no Brasil, com latitude ..."). --Ulf Mehlig 21:13, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
- Agree, also it should be able to make plural form of {type}, so that the category of singular form "cidade" will be "cidades", same with "municipal" will be plural "municipais", "estado" -> "estados" etc. --Skippern 09:37, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
