No stopping, no waiting, no standing

Even if parking is not allowed, it may be possible to stop, for example to drop off or pick up someone or to load and unload goods. Use parking:right:stopping=yes/no to record whether a vehicle is allowed to stop or not.

In some countries, there is a distinction between stopping and waiting (standing in the US). In countries where this distinction exists, it's also possible to use parking:right:waiting=yes/no. As this terms are defined differently in different countries, they should be used as signposted/according to the local legal situation. (Note: The former parking:lane=* schema used the term standing, which should be replaced by the British English term waiting.)

A prohibition of stopping or waiting implies a prohibition of parking and an allowance of parking implies an allowance of stopping or waiting. Therefore, it is sufficient to use the matching tag in each case without tagging each one individually (however, you are free to tag them explicitly). You can use them as follows:

parking:right:access=no (access in context of parking means, there is no parking. However, you may wait or stop here.)

parking:right:stopping=yes

parking:right:stopping=no (Stopping is not allowed. Implies, that parking (parking:right:access=no) and waiting (parking:right:waiting=no) are also not allowed.)

parking:right:access:reason:traffic_sign=DE:283

See the examples below on how to use this in specific situations like in combination with conditional restrictions or transport mode restrictions.
