Texas Pipeline Import is an import of an Texas Railroad Commission dataset which contains pipelines in the State of Texas. The import is currently at the planning stage.

The data will be simplified at 1m accuracy to remove excessive nodes. Often, ways with the same tags are split into many (10s, rarely even 100s) sections. Those have to be merged. Everything is capitalized, so this has to be manually put into proper capitalisazion. Many crossing lines share a single node at the intersection, even if they don't actually connect. Addidionally, well pads, petroleum well points, access roads, pipeline substations (pigging, compression, pumping, valves etc.) will be mapped/drawn manually. Basically, every way needs to be reviewed individually.

Furter, all other oil & gas facilities (refineries, tank farms, petroleum terminals, petroleum ports, gas plants, support activities etc.) are going to be mapped. However, this isn't part of this import.
