Used to map institutions, rooms and other facilities in universities.

How to Map

Use the university tag to map institutions, rooms and other facilities in a university. If you don't find a matching value in the list, use taginfo and invent your own value. Also add additional tags if applicable.

Do not add amenity=university to each feature. This should only be added once per university for the whole area.

Tagging

Use one of the following values or invent your own:

university	faculty	A faculty is a division within a university comprising one subject area	If possible mark the area, that belongs to the faculty, alternatively mark the place where the secretary is situated.
university	institute	Institute in a university	If possible mark the area, that belongs to the institute, alternatively mark the place where the secretary is situated.
university	student_association	Students Associations, e.g students' unions, student governments etc.	If possible mark the area, that belongs to the student association, alternatively add a node where the offices are situated.
university	lecture_hall	Big rooms where lectures are held	Mark the area of the lecture hall if known or add a node in the building
university	seminar_room	Smaller rooms for group work and tutorials	Mark the area of the seminar room if known or add a node in the building
university	computer_lab	Rooms where students can work on computers	Mark the area of the room if known or add a node in the building
university	lab	Laboratory where experiments can be done	Mark the area of the room if known, if not add a node in the building
