Hi D95marty,

I read about the pedestrian navigation for the blind you wrote about. Can you give more information, please? See also OSM for the blind and LoroDux. Thanks --Lulu-Ann 11:20, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

Hi Lulu-Ann! Thank's for the links, very interesting. The pedestrian navigation solution I mentioned has been developed by a government funded project in Sweden called e-Adept[[1]] (there is an English information page available, and on the start page you find a movie that describes the concept). The solution is not based on OSM-data, but on municipal networks based on Swedish standard. I would love for it to support OSM-data though. I'll tell my colleagues about the OSM projects for the blind, and see what can be done. We have excellent know-how (based on user studies) on how pedestrian network data needs to be structured for used by blind and visually impaired. It would be great to be able to contribute in some way.

Here are two links to demonstrations of the system in Stockholm: [[2]] [[3]]

Check out the pages, and I'll dig deeper into the entry points you gave me, and then we can get back in touch and exchange some more information. --D95marty 01:32, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
