Perspectives for the future of the OpenStreetView

Consider the comments that I made at "Talk:OpenStreetView#Wikipedia / OSV" discussion please. Notice how User:Kolossos uses OpenLayers and the query (of marks-source.php) to toolserver.org.

I'm having trouble using openstreetview.org. Which are the perspectives for the future of the project? If I start contributing code on Github I will be alone or are you still committed?

I translated Pt-br:OpenStreetView and I'm looking for a permanent way to host my mapping images (see "Mapeamento por fotos", in portuguese of Brazil).
