Hello RussNelson, and welcome to OpenStreetMap!

Here are some tips to help you make the most from OSM:

  • Please don't use copyrighted maps as a data source for OpenStreetMap edits
  • To meet other mappers from your country, add these lines to your wiki userpage:
    [[Category:Users in your country|RussNelson]]
    [[Category:Users in your city|RussNelson]]
  • Join your regional mailing list
  • Take a look at the Beginners' guide
  • And if you have any questions, look at the FAQ page, or just ask!

Have fun mapping!

service=no for bridges

I don't think this is a good idea. It conflicts with other usage of the service tag (say a railway=rail service=siding crosses one of these) and isn't necessarily well-defined (although the initial thing being bridged may be gone, it may continue to serve an informal footpath or informal drainage). --NE2 08:19, 30 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Fair enough. What do you propose as an alternative? --RussNelson 21:53, 8 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure that it's something that needs to be machine-parseable, so just note=nothing under bridge? --NE2 11:59, 9 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
