import-proposal

In https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/w/index.php?title=Import/Guidelines&diff=prev&oldid=2556767 you added claim that both import and import-proposal tags must be used. What is the source of this claim?

Note that in https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposal:Imports_Mailing_List_Migration import-proposal tag was not mentioned at all, only import tag

My thought process in the original proposal was to have a way on the community forum to see import proposals on a separate page from the import tag, since import was already being used to discuss something other than proposals, and therefore any prospective import proposal would both reach people just following import, but could be further categorized using the import-proposal tag. --SherbetS (talk) 01:11, 21 February 2026 (UTC)
