iphone

  • How were you able to get accurate GPS readings from iphone's inbuilt GPS reciever ? --Pavi 18:15, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Actually, iPhone's GPS is quite accurate too (at least it's in accordance with the Google maps), but I'm not using it most of the time. For the roads, I'm using the Tomtom car kit, which is faster. When iPhone alone (without the kit) has a fix with +-17m, its central point (the blue dot) is almost always over the exact point on the Google map (Yahoo map seems to be too old for Turkey, but still most roads are correct for the big cities).
