changes to Key:source

Please provide me with a quote that supports your edits to the infobox and data point element. 99 tabazan (talk) 17:11, 16 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Please answer this question here. Do not copy or repost any of my comments. It's addressed to you personally. Specifically, it addressed your edit in this diff. --99 tabazan (talk) 17:36, 16 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
fine. but this is not a personal discussion

Where do you read it can't be used any more? 99 tabazan (talk) 17:39, 16 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
the onNode/onWay/onArea/onRelation icons are recommendations, not strict rules. Zimtschnecke (talk) 17:45, 16 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
we can leave it to yes if you insist. Zimtschnecke (talk) 17:46, 16 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
its not that important, its just rude to just revert changes ;) Zimtschnecke (talk) 17:48, 16 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
I didn't just revert, I restored and provided an explanation.
Also, I ask you here to provide me with a quote that supports your edit. The page I read says "the practice of tagging objects or individual attributes has not been officially deprecated and is still being used".
I think this reflects reasonably discussions on the topic.
As for the icons, looking at Template:KeyDescription#Feature_usage, it seems to me rather you should leave it more often to "unknown". 99 tabazan (talk) 17:54, 16 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
There is probably not a straightforward way to really represent the current situation in the info box. I will leave it as it was originally. We can re-discuss in case other people chime in on it :) Zimtschnecke (talk) 17:58, 16 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
In my area of mapping, many source tags are still in the note= field .. that's annoying. --99 tabazan (talk) 18:15, 16 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
