OSM Boundaries

Nice, that OSM-Boundaries by User Magma1447 works for you and you deleted my hint. I tested it in FF and in Chrome. 2 times frozen screen. As I need a picture of the borders of Poland for weeklyOSM I would be grateful if you could generate one for me and send it to info at weeklyosm dot eu. Fredao (talk) 13:04, 17 January 2023 (UTC)

- BTW do you have a contact Magma1447 for me. User Magma1447 does not exist neither in OSM, nor in the wiki. Thanks in advance Fredao (talk) 13:08, 17 January 2023 (UTC)

All I could see is (a) this site works and it shows boundaries and (b) it does not show boundaries with invalid geometries. You may use Overpass-Turbo to find the Poland relation and export it as GeoJSON. See https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/1qfc --Zstadler (talk) 13:52, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
I was also able to download the Poland GeoJSON: Download -> Country=Poland, max admin_level=2, GeoJSON, Land-only, exclude tags-> API URL - Download.
As for contacting the author, which I'm not familiar with, you may try the "feedback" link on the OSM-Boundaries map or their Contact page --Zstadler (talk) 14:11, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
Thanks fort the overpass-turbo. I have now tried again in FF. The search freezes after the 3 letters "Pol" and the website no longer accepts the remaining letters "and". If it works for you, then it must be my machine. Then let's leave the entry in the Wiki as it is. Fredao (talk) 16:47, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
To be on the safe side, I have now tested it on another machine (Windows - FF + Edge). Result POL and then the system hangs. So I am pretty sure that my entry in the wiki was correct. Fredao (talk) 17:58, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
The fact that the search does not work as you expect, does not mean that the site doesn't work and its description should be crossed-out in the wiki. At best, it means there is a bug in a certain functionality. You may report this to the site owners in the above-mentioned communication options. --Zstadler (talk) 15:42, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
