Special tags used by the Israel Hiking Map

The tourism=attraction tag is used for tagging many types of elements that are of interest to different types of tourists. The attraction:IHM=natural and attraction:IHM=historic tags are used to identify tourism=attraction features for which an appropriate natural=* or historic=* tag cannot be found.

Partial revert of a changeset using JOSM reverter plugin

This method can only do partial revert of additions or modifications, not deletions.

  1. Right-click the "osmChange XML" at the bottom of the changeset's page and select "Save link as..." to save it in a .osc file, say "revert.osc". Use double quotes on the file name to prevent the browser from appending an .xml suffix
  2. Open JOSM
  3. Install the reverter plugin, if needed
    1. Edit -> Preferences [F12]
    2. Plugins
    3. type "reverter" in the search field
    4. Check the checkbox next to the plugin
    5. OK
  4. Open the .osc file
  5. Delete all added or modified elements that should not be reverted. You may choose to use "(this session)" on the deletion warning dialog.
  6. Select all [Ctrl+A]
  7. Data -> Revert Changeset [Ctrl+Shift+T]
    1. Type the changeset id
    2. Select "Revert selection and restore deleted objects"
    3. Check the checkbox next to "download as a new layer"
    4. "Revert"
  8. File -> Download parent ways/relations [Ctrl+Alt+D]
  9. File -> Upload data [Ctrl+Shift+Up]
  10. Fill in the description and submit the revert
