Removing unused and completely unrelated prefixes

We have quite a few prefixes which are neither related to OSM nor geo data in general nor used. They can be confusing for other users and I would therefore suggest to remove them. I am talking of the following ones:

Specific posts or arbitrary paths?

Resolved: Both options implemented.--Tigerfell This user is member of the wiki team of OSM (Let's talk) 09:31, 29 June 2020 (UTC)

@Tigerfell: has proposed a few very sensible additions to the list. But the suggestion to make forum: point to a specific topic, rather than any arbitrary path on the forum (such as an individual forum on the site), gets me wondering if we should do the same for taginfo: and lists:. Should we make these prefixes more consistent? – Minh Nguyễn 💬 01:24, 2 June 2019 (UTC)

Well, it is probably better to have more general paths or we will end up with osm-way = osm.org/way and osm-relation = osm.org/relation and so on. For consistency, I would change the forum to https://forum.openstreetmap.org/$1, but I would leave my suggestion for lists, because almost all URLs start with this whole prefix. The only exceptions are viewing the list of mailing lists at https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo and viewing the general info about a list at https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/accessibility for instance. --Tigerfell This user is member of the wiki team of OSM (Let's talk) 08:59, 3 June 2019 (UTC)
From a convenience perspective, it's nice to have both...be able to point to any part of a [sub]domain without resorting to an external link, but also just be able to plop a UUID in. Arlo James Barnes (talk) 18:50, 27 June 2020 (UTC)

localwiki

Resolved: This edit request was answered. Implemented as "local:...", because it does not work with two parameters --Tigerfell This user is member of the wiki team of OSM (Let's talk) 09:28, 21 July 2020 (UTC)

Please consider adding Wikivoyage as an Interwiki link

Resolved: This edit request was answered.

I believe Wikivoyage is referenced on about six dozen pages on OpenStreetMap wiki, & it would be nice to link directly.

See the Wikivoyage entry at MetaWikiPedia:Interwiki map. Peaceray (talk) 19:24, 13 August 2022 (UTC)

I am personally not keen to add any new interwiki prefixes because they require maintenance (updating URLs). If you want to link to Wikivoyage, you can use w: followed by Wikipedia's interwiki prefix for Wikivoyage. This has been proven to work well. --Tigerfell This user is member of the wiki team of OSM (Let's talk) 14:02, 22 October 2022 (UTC)

Many URLs do not use https://

Resolved: This edit request was answered.

I think the most critical one is osmf not using HTTPS. --push-f (talk) 06:46, 21 October 2022 (UTC)

done, except for one that does not support HTTPS. --Tigerfell This user is member of the wiki team of OSM (Let's talk) 13:59, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
