OpenHistoricalMap ist informell in Gemeinschaftsprojekten organisiert, die sich auf bestimmte Orte oder Themen in der Karte im Laufe der Zeit konzentrieren. Diese Projekte werden hier dokumentiert, um die Bemühungen zu koordinieren und als Ausgangspunkt für die Forschung zu dienen.

Aufbau eines Projektes

Eine typische Projektseite soll enthalten:

• Kontext, warum der Ort oder das Thema von Interesse ist
• Eine Beschreibung der bisherigen Kartierung
• Prioritäten für eine bessere Abdeckung
• Online-Ressourcen, die bei der Kartierung zu Rate gezogen werden können
• Quellen für importierte Daten (oder potenzielle Quellen)

Die Einrichtung einer Projektseite ist eine gute Möglichkeit, andere Mappern für eine Zusammenarbeit mit Ihnen zu gewinnen, um die lokale Abdeckung aufzubauen.
