shop=beverage distinction
Shops specializing in alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages without a particular alcohol license should perhaps be tagged as shop=beverages. This is another tag for very similar type of shop. The documented distinction has been to use shop=alcohol for shops which are government licensed or government owned, and shop=beverages for drinks shops which are not government licensed or government owned
...however the tags are largely overlapping. shop=beverages is an older tag and past confusion has meant this suggested distinction was not always followed. shop=alcohol is now more used. See discussion at Talk:Tag:shop=beverages
