All my contributions to OpenStreetMap are released into the public domain. This applies worldwide.
In case this is not legally possible, I grant anyone the right to use my contributions for any purpose, without any conditions, unless such conditions are required by law.
I don't give a flying monkey's for tag voting, automatic changebots, endless discussions, categories, or any of that crap, but prefer to get on and actually do stuff.

Past Projects

Did some hobby projects the past years

  • openfietskaart, custom rendering for a cycle map of The Netherlands
  • OSMtiledownloader, a tile downloader for Windows.
  • OSMtracker, a tracking and annotation application on the PocketPC for the OpenStreetMap project
  • live GPS tracking with a PDA to a mysql database (with gprs) and visualisation on google maps (on pc)
  • made a guided GPS walking/trip application on a PDA, GeoTrip
  • made a PocketGoogleMaps client on a PDA

New Project Idea's

  • Render The Netherlands with "stafkaart" details
  • Webbased (text) editor for data corrections and relations
  • Render SRTM relief map for The Netherlands as basemap
  • Make a interactive map with poi popups
  • Make a stat graph of
    • number of users in the netherlands
    • number of nodes / ways / relations
  • Display a 'live' map that jumps to the lastest change in the database (just for fun, kind of screensaver)
  • make some GPS games with osm maps

adding layer on dutch tile server

create a new stylesheet


add next entry to /home/mapnik/tiles/renderd.conf

use user tile for edit (sudo su - tile)




create new tile folder (ov-zones)in /home/mapnik/tiles/ use tile user for this !

restart renderd engine : killall renderd
