WikiProject Cleanup/Completed tasks

The following is a partial list of tasks completed as part of WikiProject Cleanup. Many other cleanup task go unrecorded. If you have helped in the past, thank you!

• Talk:Mapping/Features#Wiki Organisation - Pages describing specific tags. We have at least two different naming structures. - DONE
• Talk:Developer - Merge Developer with Develop? Need to make a coherent start page for developers - DONE
• Talk:REST - REST is a bad name for a page. Rename it to 'API' or 'Protocol' - DONE
• OpenStreetMap talk:Community Portal - Rename 'Community Portal' as 'Mapping Projects' - DONE
• Talk:Getting Involved#'Down Your Way' section - strange paragraph on another prominent marketing page. - DONE
• Talk:Why Make OpenStreetMap#Also on the FAQ page - sorting out our "marketing" message - DONE
• Template talk:MainMenu - where should the MainMenu template appear? - DONE
• Talk:JOSM#JOSM page cleanup - Need to tidy and split up the JOSM page. Maybe do nice tabbed guide like the germans have. - DONE
• I put the user from all kinds of variously typed categories each into matching ones -- User:Malenki
• There's only two acutally categories there, i've marked Category:Garmin_60CSx_Users for deletion as it is empty. Category:Garmin users is still prolifically used so i won't be marking it for deletion.. --Martin Renvoize 20:14, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

• Complete review of Category:Translation matrix for redundant and empty categories; revisions to Template:Babel implementations on user pages to apply best practice for translation matrix uniformity; addition of documentation to Template:Babel/doc for 'simple use' and best practices in language reporting. Started and completed 18 Dec 2010. --Ceyockey

• replacing Template:BannerLayout styled messages with AMBox and [Template:warning]] for a cooperate design --!i! 13:35, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
• Talk:OSM User Groups - collecting local user groups using a template? --!i! 17:10, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
• The Main Page, Map Features and Beginners' guide pages in English used the standard {{Languages}} template but some languages used custom templates with different link destinations for some languages. As a result the Bulgarian link from the English Beginners' guide pointed to a blank page when the link from the Bulgarian beginners guide did not. I have changed these pages to use {{Languages}} in alll languages that previously used custom templates to avoid similar mishaps in the future. Andrew 20:17, 7 April 2011 (BST) (UTC)

• Most project articles relating to Africa (in Category:Countries in Africa) don't contain a Template:place --!i! 08:02, 21

• GPS Reviews - Site is massive and not very easy to navigate. Should be split into an overview table current first part) and individual device pages.
