Upcoming Mapping Parties

Mapping parties are a great way to meet other OSM-ers, to exchange ideas about what and how to map things in your area and to learn from each other the things that make mapping fun for you.

We run mapping parties which are events which anyone can attend. We'll lend you a GPS, show you how to go do some mapping, and get the data entered into openstreetmap. They are informal events with no explicit time commitment and often a social element / beer afterward.

We have an event coming up in Manhattan Valley (up near Columbia) on 23 May and in Brighton Beach on 24 May, 2009. You should join us.
