Summary

This article presents the draft application to the OpenStreetMap Foundation for a local chapter in Argentina.

Proposal

After several years of growth of the local community, collaborating with other organizations developing many activities, the following goal proposed was establishing a legal entity that represents both the Argentine OpenStreetMap community, Geochicas and Geoinquietos (OSGeo local chapter) as well.

As a result, the GeoLibres association was created in December 2018.

Being part of the local community of OSM and members of GeoLibres, we propose to present the OSM Foundation as a local chapter, this being determined by open vote.

Documents to present

The OSM Foundation requests to send with the proposal documents of the legal entity to be affiliated and an agreement between the two parties, signed by who represents the local association. Below are the links to these documents for community information and especially for those who vote in favor or not of being represented by GeoLibres as a local chapter of the OSMF in Argentina.
