Greece/Provincial Road Network

defined by ΦΕΚ 47 Α/8.2.1956
updated in ΦΕΚ 293Β/1995
separated in primary and secondary network and must be tagged highway=secondary and highway=tertiary respectively.
each prefecture has separate road numbering
there are no signs for provincial road numbers
Prefecture numbers are according to ISO 3166-2:GR, as it is officially used by ΕΛΣΤΑΤ-HSA (formerly ΕΣΥΕ-NSSG until 2010) and ΟΚΧΕ-HEMCO (replaced by ΥΠΕΚΑ-MEE in 2013).

Classification complex examples
The part of the road after village2 is tertiary because it leads to unpaved part. The part of the paved provincial road that serves villages is secondary. If there are no villages in-between the paved part, then the whole paved part must be tertiary (if it leads to unpvaved part).
