Polygon
Lower side to the right: but how about when a polygon? Jidanni (talk) 01:12, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
- I would say it's the same. A polygon is just a closed way / (poly)line. Can you tell more in detail what you think about? --Chris2map (talk) 04:55, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
- It needs to say which side the triangles are on, upper or lower, like https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:natural%3Dcliff#Rendering Jidanni (talk) 15:36, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
- "Side" only refers to the direction in which the way / line / polyline / path was drawn in an editor. This applies to both – ways and closed ways – such as polygons. I think this is correctly described on the page:
--Chris2map (talk) 15:51, 2 June 2026 (UTC)Lower side on right side of way direction, often rendered with dots, triangles or the like.
Renderers and editors might indicate the lower side of the retaining wall (the right side of the OSM way) with small triangles pointing downwards.
