Link to the website for the brand of the feature.

An example showing how a single branch from a large optician's chain might be tagged with brand:website=* included (address tags omitted for brevity):

shop=optician
brand=Fielmann
brand:website=https://www.fielmann.de/
website=https://www.fielmann.de/niederlassungen/bielefeld/33602-oberntorwall-25/

Here, all the brand:website=* will remain the same for each shop of the chain, but website=* can point to this exact shop's webpage listing the services rendered at that location.

Comparison with website tag

Note how website=* is used to specify the website of the feature (i.e., that exact branch of the optician) in the example above. In case a feature is part of a brand/chain, brand:website=* can be used to specify the general website for the whole brand; this can then also be useful as a fallback, in case a branch has no dedicated website and therefore no website=*.
