The gay=* tag was used to indicate the level of LGBTQ+-friendliness of a feature.
It is now obsolete and deprecated and superseded by the tag lgbtq=*.
Values
gay=yes- Generic tag indicating LGBTQ+ people are welcomegay=welcome– Explicitly LGBTQ+-friendly, often indicated by a rainbow sticker or flaggay:men=yes/gay:women=yes– Primarily serving gay/lesbian peoplegay:men=only/gay:women=only– Exclusively serving gay/lesbian people
