The gay=* tag was used to indicate the level of LGBTQ+-friendliness of a feature.
It is now obsolete and deprecated and superseded by the tag lgbtq=*.
Values
- gay=yes - Generic tag indicating LGBTQ+ people are welcome
- gay=welcome – Explicitly LGBTQ+-friendly, often indicated by a rainbow sticker or flag
- gay:men=yes/gay:women=yes – Primarily serving gay/lesbian people
- gay:men=only/gay:women=only – Exclusively serving gay/lesbian people

This tag is no longer used. Use lgbtq=* instead.
