Definition
For objects which do not have a house number (for example "snc" = "senza numero civico" in Italian, "bb" = "bez broja" in Croatian, "s/n" = "sin número" in Spanish and "sem número" in Portuguese) you can add nohousenumber=yes. This is useful to explicitly state that there is no house number (verified).
Do not add addr:housenumber=snc or similar.
How to map
It is mainly used with buildings. StreetComplete asks for house numbers in its quests.
Add nohousenumber=yes to the address and keep addr:housenumber=* empty.
Do not use this tag if you are unsure about the house number or if there is a house number assigned but not signposted. It should also be avoided to tag nohousenumber=no to features which do have a house number assigned.
Do not use this tag if it is impossible for object to have an address - adding it to say benches is quite pointless.
