This namespace prefix complements the primary addr:*=* keys, and appears to being used to indicate additional official address information of a feature.

Generally, only addr2:street=* and addr2:housenumber=* are used. If there are only multiple house numbers, addr:housenumber=* can be sufficient.

For an example with addresses in 2 countries: Hôtel Arbez needing addr2:country=*, addr2:city=*, addr2:postalcode=*

The tags are not supported by Nominatim (status Jan 2026).

As of March 2025, the 20,300+ uses of addr2:street=*, 91% of them are combined with addr2:housenumber=*. There are some usages of the similar namespaces: addr3, addr4, and addr1.
