Use to specify the type of consulate: a diplomatic office or government office which offers consular services and which is not an embassy. Their primary focus is to deliver services to their own nationals. Consulates can be more numerous than diplomatic missions and might be posted in various cities throughout the receiving country.

How to map

Requires office=diplomatic and diplomatic=consulate on a node node in the center of the building, or on a closed way (area) area around the grounds or around the outline of the building.

Then add the appropriate value of consulate=* from the table below.
